课程内容与要求（300字内）

机械设计课程主要内容：总论部分讲述机器及零件设计的基本原则，设计计算理论，材料选择，结构要求以及摩擦、磨损、润滑等方面知识；连接部分主要讲述螺纹连接，键连接、花键连接及无键连接，销连接等；传动部分主要介绍带传动、链传动、齿轮传动、蜗杆传动；轴系部分主要讲述滑动轴承、滚动轴承，联轴器与离合器及轴等的结构设计，计算原则。本课程的教学主要是培养学生有正确的设计思想，掌握通用零件的设计原理、方法和机械设计的一般规律，进而具有综合运用所学的知识，研究改进或开发新的零、部件及设计简单机械的能力；具有运用标准、规范、手册、图册和查阅有关的技术资料的能力。为顺利过渡到专业课程的学习及进行专业产品和设备的设计打下宽广而坚实的基础。

本课程的特点是：

机械设计是一门实践性较强的课程，内容体系离散性较强，公式繁多，与材料力学、工程制图、机械原理、过程材料等其他相关课程联系紧密，是机械类专业基础课教育中一门重要的综合性的课程。对于进一步进行专业理论和实践教育起着承上启下的作用，故而在学习中要注意理论联系实际，加强实践环节的训练，培养工程意识，掌握工程设计的理念和方法。要求在学习过程中，对于典型的标准件和非标准件注意掌握设计原则、计算方法和工程图表示，以形成适应于现在机械工业人才需求模式的知识结构和能力。
